Author Patrick Scalisi and artist Valerie Ruby-Omen will discuss their book Connecticut Cryptids: A Field Guide to the Weird & Wonderful Creatures of the Nutmeg State, sharing research on legends from across Connecticut. The program will highlight Glastonbury’s own Glawackus, a mysterious creature reported in the 1930s, examining how these stories capture local history and community imagination.
