Take Your Child to the Library Day

For families with children of all ages

No registration is needed.

GO FOR THE GOLD! Visit Your Library! 

The Welles-Turner Library Children’s Department will join libraries across the United States and around the world to celebrate the 15th Annual Take Your Child to the Library Day.  There will be sports-themed activities throughout the day, so bring the whole family to see what the library has to offer.

Drop-in activities from 9:30am-4:00pm:

• Design your own winning medal 
• Color a flag for a country participating in the 2026 Winter Olympics
• Aim for a hole-in-one on the mini-mini-golf course
• Learn about famous hometown athletes and sports figures in a special scavenger hunt
• Check out books about winter sports, athletes, the Olympics and host country Italy

This year’s event highlights:

• 10:00am                  The Lucky Husky Author Visit
• 11:30am-4:00pm     Winter Olympics STEAM
• 1:30pm                    Together Time Tales
