Earth Agents: Create Your Own Compost

For families with children entering grades K-6

Registration begins August 19. Phone the Children’s Department at 860-652-7718 to reserve a kit. One kit per family. Since supplies are limited, if a kit is not picked up within 5 days, it will be given to the next family on the wait list. 

A do-at-home activity developed by UConn 4-H allowing kids to explore physical and biological sciences to go along with the summer theme “READ, RENEW, REPEAT”.   

Master the art of composting as you learn how organic matter decomposes. Explore how animal and insect agents help to break down waste and return nutrients to the earth. . Each activity has a tutorial video featuring Mr. Marc, which you can access on the UConn Extension YouTube channel or on the UConn 4-H website.
