For families with children entering grades K-6

Registration begins August 12. Phone the Children’s Department at 860-652-7718 to reserve a kit. One kit per family. Since supplies are limited, if a kit is not picked up within 5 days, it will be given to the next family on the wait list. 

A do-at-home activity developed by UConn 4-H allowing kids to explore physical and biological sciences to go along with the summer theme “READ, RENEW, REPEAT”.   

Learn about solar energy while making your very own solar powered oven to heat up a delicious snack! We recommend s'mores.  YUM! Each activity has a tutorial video featuring Mr. Marc, which you can access on the UConn Extension YouTube channel or on the UConn 4-H website.
