Event Details
In celebration of Earth Day, join us for a captivating documentary that explores the hidden world of caterpillars and their vital role in sustaining Earth’s ecosystems. Through remarkable macro-videography and insights from leading naturalists, The Extraordinary Caterpillar reveals how these tiny creatures support the food web and why restoring native habitats right in our own backyards matters more than ever.
After the screening, enjoy a moderated Q&A with Jim Sirch, lepidopterist, trained naturalist, and President of the Connecticut Horticultural Society.
Children are welcome to attend (suggested for viewers age 6 and older); however, to ensure an enjoyable experience for all, attendees should be able to remain seated and quiet for the full duration of the screening and discussion. Caregivers are asked to use their discretion when deciding if this program is appropriate for their child.
This program is made possible through collaboration with the Pollinator Pathway of Glastonbury and is perfect for nature lovers, gardeners, environmental enthusiasts, and anyone interested in seeing the world from a new and wondrous perspective.
