Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a creativeworkshop where you can design your very own canvas tote bag! In this session, you'll have the opportunity to decorate your bag with beautiful leaf prints (made with real leaves!) and uplifting words of affirmation. This program is open to adults of all artistic abilities. All materials will be provided, and our friendly instructor, Denise Smith, will guide you through each step of the process. Come and make a unique, personalized tote bag that you can use with pride!

*If the leaves are in short supply by this time in the fall; we'll switch to a mesmerizing mandala painting on the totes instead.*

Denise Smith is a lifelong photographer and a self-taught artist educator who recently retired from running a thriving art program for adults with disabilities. She is inspired to share her art passion with workshops at community centers and public libraries throughout CT.

Due to the space limitations of this program, registration begins by phone (860-652-7720) for Glastonbury residents with a valid library card on September 30th at 9 a.m. and opens online for all on October 7th at 9 a.m. This activity is for adults (18+) only.

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Welles-Turner Memorial Library.
