Event Details
This class will teach teens how to meditate and also introduce them to some beneficial concepts: how to connect to a sense of inner peace, to identify with our potential, develop compassion and gratitude for the kindness of others, and let go of agitating states of mind like anger and jealousy. The class will assist with the development of important life skills such as increased empathy, respect for others, self control and concentration. All teens are welcome!
This class will be taught by Matthew Stein, resident teacher of Odiyana Kadampa Buddhist Center in Glastonbury. Odiyana Center offers meditation classes that are open to everyone; it doesn’t belong to Buddhists. It resonates with a lot of people these days because it provides very practical methods for finding peace, happiness and meaning in the midst of busy modern daily life. It also provides practical and effective ways of helping others and dealing with many of the problems in the world today. For more information visit meditationinconnecticut.org/
