Gather for an evening of community conversation about Still I Rise, Maya Angelou’s celebrated and empowering poem. As part of their Unity in Diversity series, Glastonbury MLK Community Initiative is partnering with The Globe Reads to facilitate an intergenerational and international discussion about themes from the poem, such as self-respect, confidence, and overcoming oppression. After reading the poem together as a group, you will have the opportunity to share your own life stories and listen to the stories of others.
