Event Details
Have you tried the new way to start your seeds in the dead of winter? Well, come learn why you want to ditch the grow light, timers, and heating pads, and sow your seeds outside in the winter. This technique works with the natural plant cycles, with little cost and few materials.
In this workshop, presented by Glastonbury Partners in Planting, attendees will learn and put into practice the basics of winter sowing and why the end of winter is the optimal time to get started on your 2024 vegetable or flower garden.
Please bring your own garden gloves. All other materials will be supplied.
*In the event of inclement weather, this program will be held on Tuesday, January 9th at 6:30 p.m.*
Due to the popularity of this free program, registration begins by phone (860-652-7720) for Glastonbury residents with a valid library card on December 11th at 9 a.m. and opens online for all on December 18th at 9 a.m.
