Program Description

Event Details

Robyn Mortiboys of Sono Kimono, and secretary of Japan Society of Fairfield County, will be leading this fun and interactive presentation starting with the history of kimono from its origins to modern day fashion. Then, lucky volunteers from the audience will be asked to try the garments on for a dressing demonstration. Participants will get to experience dressing themselves in yukata, the cotton summer kimono popular at festivals and celebrations.
