Event Details

Geraldine Brooks is coming to Glastonbury in September!  To celebrate, we will be discussing her incredible collection of works through a series of book discussions.  Limited copies of the current selection will be available at the Lending Desk. Registration is not required; light refreshments will be served.

This week we're reading: "Caleb's Crossing"

Set in colonial New England, mostly during the 1660s, Caleb's Crossing tells the story of an English puritan girl, Bethia, whose friendship with Native American Caleb has unusual consequences – Caleb becomes the first Native American to graduate from Harvard.

Geraldine Brooks author visit is generously sponsored by the Welles-Turner Memorial Library Second Century Fund.
